Paint a Summer Sky in One Layer: Watercolor Demonstration
A beautiful sky is an instant painting focal point. In this video, I’m demonstrating my process for painting from a reference photo, using a wet-on-dry technique that gives beautiful soft flowing color with more control than wet-in-wet watercolor painting.
The most expressive paintings show the heart of the artist, and I talk about how I get to the heart of what I want to show in my paintings in this demonstration. The teacher in me can’t help but share tips on watercolor painting, color theory and mixing and brush handling in the process!
