Boy recovering after reportedly being stabbed over video game insult | FOX 13 Seattle

A 13-year-old and an 11-year-old were walking in Mill Creek when they called a random man an “NPC“, which stands for “non-playable character“-- insinuating the man has no agency or capacity for critical thought. The man then followed the boys to a Dollar Tree, where he stabbed the 11-year-old several times in the torso.
