Full title reads: “Southampton. Back to Blighty. SS Nevassa brings detachments of the . and . home from sunny Indian skies to our usual autumn - but nevertheless Blighty and Xmas at home.“ Southampton, Hampshire. View of the troopship Nevassa as she arrive in Southampton docks. Troops gathered on decks of ship look over. Shots of waiting families on dockside. Soldiers come down gangplanks carrying kitbags. Nice MS of woman waving from dockside - presumably at son or husband. One soldier has problems with his kit bag so he drops it and kicks it down the gangplank.
