The story of The Suffering is about a guy named Torque who is convicted of killing his wife and 2 sons. He blacked it out, but your actions during the game (good, bad, indifferent) determines whether he did it or not... oh, also he’s so insane he turns into a literal monster, or is it all in his mind? It’s clearly a metaphor, just like in the song Monster, but brought into frightening reality. It’s still a great game and the save file from the first game carrys onto Ties That Bind, like Mass Effect only not as complex.
