Why Israel is an apartheid state, by Jewish Israeli journalist, Gideon Levy (short version)

Award winning Jewish Israeli journalist, Gideon Levy explaining why Israel is in fact an apartheid state. Link to full talk: Major international and Israeli human rights organizations, South Africa, and many Jewish people, including many Jewish Israelis, call Israel an apartheid state – and who would know better than them? The main difference with the South African apartheid, is that Israel’s is a 3-tier apartheid, instead of a 2-tier apartheid. Each of the three major groups, Jewish Israelis (48%), Palestinian Israelis (14%), and Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza (33%), each have different rights and privileges. The first two groups have similar, but definitely not 100% equal rights. And the third group has very few rights, especially compared to the abusive illegal Israel settlers who increasingly live among them, and who force more of them out of their homes and farms every year. The lives of all three groups are ultimately controlled by the same Israeli government (which the third group can’t even vote for).
