Blake Lively has always been a showstopper at the Met Gala, but this year she outdid herself with a stunning Versace gown that paid homage to New York City’s architecture and history. The actress, who co-hosted the event with her husband Ryan Reynolds, arrived on the red carpet in a copper-colored dress that featured a large bow at the front. But as she walked up the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she revealed a dramatic transformation: The bow was untied, unveiling a long blue train that contrasted with the rest of the outfit. Lively explained to Vogue that her dress was inspired by some of New York’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and Grand Central Station.
