British Archer tank destroyer (Tamiya 1:35 model kit)

Full build, painting, and weathering of Tamiya’s British Archer tank destroyer model kit in 1/35 scale. This kit was a new tool released in 2017 and features a detailed fighting compartment and three crew figures. You can find the kit here: The Archer self propelled gun was the result of a need to fit the British 17 pdr anti-tank gun onto a tracked vehicle. With a need to get this completed quickly several options were tried, including fitting the gun on the now obsolete Valentine chassis to produce the Archer. Another famous example is the Sherman Firefly, which managed to squeeze the gun into a Sherman by rotating it and altering the turret. In this video I build the kit, paint it with AK Real Colours paints, and weather it using a variety of products including enamel mud products from Ammo by Mig.
