Making Freddie Mercury’s London Blue Plaque [with Queen footage]

To mark the 70th anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s birth, English Heritage is giving him a Blue Plaque at his childhood home in London. Our blue plaques have been hand-crafted by skilled artisans Frank and Sue Ashworth at their home and studio in Cornwall since 1984. We visited them to find out more about the process of making a Blue Plaque, and ask their thoughts on commemorating Freddie Mercury.
