LIVE: Rally in support of PM Pashinyan takes place in Yerevan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called his supporters to rally in Yerevan on Monday March 1. Thousands have taken to the streets this week to demand Pashinyan’s resignation Protests were originally ignited in November after Pashinyan signed the Russian-brokered deal to end fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh region, and have intensified on Thursday after the army called on the PM to step down in a letter. Pashinyan refused to resign, accusing armed forces of an “attempted coup.“ Under the terms of the trilateral agreement, a number of Nagorno-Karabakh districts are to come under Azerbaijani control.​
