I hope you enjoy what I put together. I own nothing.
Scenes of Ruffnut and Tuffnut from Dreamworks, Dragons: Riders of Berk, Defenders of Berk and Race to the Edge (currently showing on Netflix). These 2 characters are really fun to watch, the writers did well to include them more in the later episodes, especially in the new series Race to the Edge.
How To Train Your Dragon movies are based on Cressida Cowell novels with the same title. There are 15 books so far and a third movie on the making.
When I first saw the movie in cinema, I was actually quite tired at the time and nodded off for a couple of minutes. I didn’t appreciate the film then. I watched it again some time after the DVD release and really let myself sit in. It was enjoyable and a bit of a breath of fresh air.
Many years later the 2nd movie is out and I didn’t race to go see it, nor did I purchase the DVD when it came out. I suddenly felt the urge to watch the first movie once again in preparation for the 2nd movie just recently gone 2015 Winter Holiday. Little did I know that there were a few short animations that follow the 1st movie.
I did some light research and found that there are 4 additional shorts, then a series that consisted of 2 seasons then another set of series with another 2 seasons or you could call it the 3rd season. I sat and watched them all within 2 months.... Netflix will do that to you!!
By my understanding, to watch this in chronological order, it should be:
-How To Train Your Dragon (movie)
-Gift of the Night Fury (short)
-Riders of Berk (series s1)
-Defenders of Berk (series s2)
-Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon (short)
-Book of Dragons (short)
-Dawn of the Dragon Racers (short)
-Race to the Edge (series s3 ongoing to s4?)
-How to Train Your Dragon 2 (movie)
