i didn’t know if i was going to actually teach this or not... four days before this event, i was in Poland, sitting in the lobby across from Kaycee, deciding what i was going to teach. and with everything going on, I didn’t have any time to really prepare a piece, so i thought i would just choose one of my older pieces. But teaching for me, is a very sacred experience for me, especially in LA. So i looked at Kaycee and just said ’F**K IT. we are in such a moment of our lives, where we are working so hard and have so much going on, and i’m sure so many other people feel the same. i just want people to understand that being the best at anything is NOT the most important thing. finding the joy and happiness throughout the process is what’s important.’ i will FOREVER cherish classes like these because i get to watch so many dancers smile with each other, mess up with each other, laugh with each other, cheer each other on.
