Led Zeppelin - In the Light 2023, Musically A-I-llustrated

The seventh track off Physical Graffiti, “In the Light” was composed mostly by bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones using a synthesizer. For the song’s intro, guitarist Jimmy Page used a violin bow to play his guitar (as he had previously done on “Dazed and Confused” and “How Many More Times”), giving it a unique sound to compliment the synthesizer. The track was built upon a previously-written song called “In the Morning,” and was originally titled “Take Me Home.” Led Zeppelin were never able to play the track live because the sound of the synthesizer could not be re-produced outside the recording studio.
