A trip to the post office (w/ Luminous Dazzle speedpaint)

artwork by Luminous Dazzle download the album The idea for this piece came some months ago when I had to go to the post office to ship a couple of cassettes (thanks for your support!). I’ve just realized that with lockdown and stuff I barely go out, so going to the post office became some kind of little adventure. So that’s the story for this piece in which I went back to a musical form that I didn’t use for a long time: the symphonic poem. The actual song is pretty simple, you have a main melody and two secondary themes that come and go with the story. I also added an early version of this idea, which is the last song (lofi version): it’s a different arrangement of the same idea with heavy white noise and crackle, maybe I could make an album based on that sound in the future.
