The Warrior’s Way (2010) - “Sad Flutes’ Arrival“ Scene
I can’t believe that this was Sngmoo Lee’s first and only movie that he directed. Like wtf?
It is so good in terms of cinematography in it’s genre and style, it is ridiculous how good this is!
If it wasn’t too much of a niche movie for people like me, this would have been in my
“Do not miss out “ recommendation list for everyone.
Looking back, at first I thought this must have been Zack Snyder (one of my favorites), then I thought that Sngmoo Lee must have been inspired by Zack’s Sucker Punch movie, except, Sucker Punch came out in 2011 - Year after.
I think this was a personal project and his magnum opus for Sngmoo Lee (he also written the script and produced it), and he stuck to writing and producing only afterwards. I’m really glad he did it and we got to see his personal movie.
It is an absolute blast full of never-ending action once it starts, and is really wacky - cowboys, circus clowns and deadly ninjas fighting each other? Sign me up!
As much as there was so much epic action in the movie, I think my favorite part was when the Sad Flutes finally showed up. So I will share that part.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
