Jervis Bay After Dark

On Friday 10th July 2020, Barfleur Beach in Jervis Bay came to life after dark with an amazing display of bioluminescence (Microalgae Noctiluca scintillans). This footage was captured on a Nikon Z6 mirrorless camera using a 50mm prime lens. This camera has excellent low light performance however even it was pushed to its limits in order to capture this amazing spectacle. It’s only been in the last few years that we’ve had cameras capable of capturing images like this after dark. This video is for anyone who wanted to see the bio but missed it, anyone who hasn’t seen bio before or anyone who just wants to relive this amazing experience.
