In this video, I wanted to do something a bit different, half-way between a timelapse, real-time and CGI. Inspired by the many videos of the sort on YouTube, I still wanted to showcase my own content and not NASA or Hubble’s pictures. I utilized some of the all-sky astrophotographs I have produced in the past 5 years as a background for the 3-D star effect. By zooming in on the high-resolution pictures and adding the star filter on top (Pixel Film Studio - ProDrop Space plugin), it creates a 3D immersive experience, as if the viewer is transported at incredible speeds through our local arm of the milky way. It’s a voyage into our own home galaxy, which has not been shown in this way before! All these views are real (except for the suprlus stars and a few gas cloud effects in overlay) when taken
