The Sound Stage - Episode 96: Wutiaoren 五条人

A timeless sound for all the ages. One of the most talented bands to grace the Stage, Wutiaoren truly is raising the level of musical artistry. Digging deep into their own Chinese musical heritage, they have combined Chinese operatic styles from their hometowns near and around Guangdong province with western folk and rock into a style that is completely new, yet still feels as if you could hear it on the streets of Old Canton centuries ago. This is nothing like anything you have seen or heard, but still feels familiar as an old lover. The song featured in this episode is called Beautiful, Handsome.
