(PC Engine CD) Gate of Thunder - No Death Clear, 1CC 1080p60

Ready for another horizontal shmup? I hope so! Here’s a no death/no miss/Unkillable clear of the PC Engine Super CD-ROM exclusive game, Gate of Thunder. What can I say about Gate of Thunder that isn’t already common knowledge? It’s a horizontal shmup that is obviously influenced Thunder Force III, it’s not very difficult to beat, and it’s soundtrack rocks! I purposely kept recording after my run was complete, so feel free to stick around after the credits roll to check out the anime-style intro in glorious 1080p/60fps (starts at 35:45 in video). I strongly recommend checking out a dedicated audio-only playback of the soundtrack; The games’ explosions and weapons sounds tend to drown out the awesome music being played. Captured from a PC Engine Duo-R running actual game (not a backup/copy/repro disc). RGB-modified system outputs RGB via scart to OSSC, captured in line 4X mode by Elgato Cam Link @ 1080p/60fps.
