’This a war on children’: Nasser hospital in Gaza overwhelmed, says UNICEF

A UNICEF spokesman has called the on-going conflict in Gaza “a war on children“ in videos taken from inside Gaza’s Nasser hospital on Friday. In the footage uploaded on Instagram, James Elder said: “We cannot see more children with the wounds of war, with the burns, with the shrapnel littering their bodies, with the broken bones. Inaction by those with influence is allowing the killing of children. This is a war on children.“ Aid groups and the United Nations say a small fraction of health facilities in the devastated Gaza strip are still functioning and those are in no shape to handle a new wave of casualties.
