Colouring Magical Plant in Rooms of Wonder | Johanna Basford Faber Castell Polychromos Colour Along

Today I am showing you how I colour magical plants from Johanna Basford’s new colouring book Rooms of Wonder. For this picture I am using Faber-Castell Polychromos and Albrecht Dürer Watercolour pencils. I will show you how I layer different colours allowing them to shine through each layer, creating a great effect on both our pot and backgrouns. I’ll also show how I use watercolour pencils in colouring books to create a softly blended background. Today I am working in lots of light layers to create a lot of depth and dimension to this picture. I will show how to create shadows using different colours, and how to blend and layer your Polychromos pencils. I will show you how to add shadows to help make items in the picture pop, and how to remove the black outlines using a white Sakura Gelly roll to help soften up the image and make it look more natural. These simple techniques are great for beginners looking to lift their colouring game to the next level. Pencils used F
