Re-Stocking The Zoo (1965)

Colwyn Bay Mountain Zoo, Wales. Various new animals are introduced to the zoo off season before the public are there to gawp at them. A box is opened by two zoo keepers who take out some woolly monkeys. One runs off and Tony Jackson has to climb around the roof to retrieve it. The monkeys look a little distressed. They are put in a cage with other monkeys. A Boa Constrictor snake is taken out of a sack put into a cage. C/U of the snake which is snarling at the camera. A much smaller snake - a Florida Water Snake is put into a tank. Bob Jackson and James Urquhart have to catch “one that got away“ - a Rhino Iguana from Puerto Rico. Sequence showing Mississippi Alligators being taken out of crates and put into a zoo tank. One of the zoo handlers gets into the pool to try and cut the string that is holding one of the alligators’ jaws together - the beasts snap at him and he doesn’t stay in for long.
