Part 2. Transfer of Solids by Jackstay.
A Jackstay is an overhead cable over which is passed gear or stores. It is also used to transfer a man from one ship to another, using a Stirrup, a Chair, and in the case of injury or sickness, a Cot. According to the weight being transferred, it can be done by hand, or by the use of a Winch or Motor Bollard. Both ships must be abeam.
Again this is illustrated by reality and graphics.
