A FUEGO LENTO - Horacio Salgán (Tango) | Claudio Constantini (bnd) & Louiza Hamadi (piano)

A Fuego Lento is one of Horacio Salgán´s most famous tangos (if not his most). It has been performed and recorded by top artists such as Daniel Barenboim or Gustavo Dudamel with the Berlin Philharmonic. Salgán himself was one of Tango´s most distinguished figures. He helped the genre develop further, just as Astor Piazzolla did. They were contemporaries and great admirers of each other´s work. A great pianist himself (pupil of Vicente Scaramuzza who was a teacher of distinguished pianists such as Martha Argerich), his works are technically very demanding for the instrument, and his arrangements are full of precise embellishments and syncopations which give a constant edge. Here we present our own version, adapted for bandoneon and piano. We recorded this and every piece of the album in September 2019 at the wonderful Manuel de Falla hall in Granada (Spain), for the IBS Classical label and with Paco Moya as sound engineer and mastering by Cheluis Salmerón.
