Triple Axels in Ladies’ Skating: 1988-2019

Update: Alena Kostoronaia and Young You have now successfully landed their triple axels in international competition! ------------------------------------------ *Please note that this is not a complete list, it’s just all the footage I was able to find, and obviously I didn’t include every 3A ever done by these ladies. For example, many more Japanese ladies have trained the 3A and even landed it in domestic competition, including Yuhana Yokoi, Hana Yoshida, and Mana Kawabe. **There are probably many more attempts done in national competitions, it’s just much harder to find that information. ***Also, some of the ladies in the “practice“ section have attempted 3As in competition at some point, but I couldn’t find footage of it. Gulyakova tried a 3A at the 2019 Dragon Trophy but it was underrotated. You Young has also tried it in some domestic Korean competitions. ****Lastly, Dmitrieva’s 3A was technically done in a competition, in the “elements“ portion of a Russian domestic comp.
