Something I would hope does not happen again, but hey, this is what life is and you gotta be in it to win it, so to speak. The lyrics were written in 2019 in Melbourne in the hours after having spent my last day out alone with this particular woman. I knew it was the last time going into it, and when I said farewell I knew that I would never again get the chance to ever just simply be out in the world with her, let alone be romantic or anything of that nature. I was beyond devastated, and as I lay alone in my Airbnb I wrote the lyrics down in little bursts with no direction other than to exorcise my sorrow and anguish. The whole song and video came to me that same evening and I knew it had to be part of the album. The song means little to me now, but at the time it was everything. I hope it can reach the hearts of many-a-broken out there.
