Israel Salon | Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro

Be startled if not unsettled. Israel uniquely asserts extraterritorial jurisdiction by extending national self-determination rights to non-citizens with no present or past connection to it. Israel is an outlier in claiming to speak for citizens of other countries, who are not expatriates and never plan on residing or even visiting Israel. In contrast, non-Jewish Israeli citizens are subject to systematic discrimination. Israel uniquely stigmatizes disagreement with its national ideology – Zionism – as a form of racism (i.e., anti-Semtisim). Zionists arrogate to Israel the right to define Judaism and Jewish identity—merging state and religion indistinguishable from Iran. The Committee welcomes Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro to expound on the largely unknown genuine history and ideology of Zionism. What is offered for public consumption is concocted for ulterior motives. A highly credentialed and renowned scholar of both Zionism and Judaism, the rabbi will deepen our understanding of Israeli behavior and Zionist objectives, as detailed in his pioneering book: “The Empty Wagon: Zionism’s Journey From Identity Crisis To Identity Theft.” United States support for Israel through unconditional weapons transfers and real time battlefield intelligence has made the United States a co-belligerent or belligerent against Hamas. Under Article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution, the United States is neutral unless Congress enacts a joint resolution or statute abandoning neutrality. Once again, Congress has unilaterally surrendered its responsibility to the President and the American people exhibit docility, tacitly endorsing the alarming principle that professedly benign ends justify unconstitutional means. Once again, we have met the enemy, and they are us. Donate to the Committee for the Republic:
