Live footage of High on Fire playing at Palookaville in Santa Cruz, CA on 8/9/00. I saw these guys live a number of times, right after the band formed, & up through their ’Surrounded By Thieves’ era. One night, before they took the stage at the Shim Sham Club in 2000, me, Marc Schultz (ex- EYEHATEGOD/OUTLAW ORDER), Matt Brown (drummer from my death metal band in the ’90s, APOSTASY), & George Rice (HIGH ON FIRE bassist) rode around for about an hour in Matt’s car, smoking dope, before HIGH ON FIRE played.
