White Hills - Eternity

The second single from White Hills’ forthcoming album The Revenge of Heads on Fire, out September 16, 2022 on Heads on Fire Industries. Supercharged and relentless, Eternity expresses profound contemplations on mortality. “Death opens its eyes to an eternity and I close mine.” Songwriter/Singer/Guitarist Dave W. was inspired to write these lyrics when watching a performance by Malian musician/songwriter/singer Habib Koité. Translating one of his songs for the audience, Habib described the belief in his culture of death being a new beginning, mentioning the phrase “Death opens its eyes”.
