The Great Hall Christmas Walkthrough At The Hogwarts In The Snow Event (Nov 2021) [4K]
[4K] Hogwarts in the Snow is back for 2021, join us as we return to Hogwarts in The Great Hall at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter and take a full walkthrough of this iconic set from the movies dressed for the occasion with wreaths, garlands and Christmas trees topped with witches on miniature broomsticks. The long dining tables are laid out as they were for the seasonal feast in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, complete with special effect flaming Christmas puddings and prop versions of the mouth-watering roast turkeys and hams studded with cherries.
Hogwarts in the Snow runs from Friday 12th November to Sunday 16th January 2022. New for 2021, the trees and woodland in the Forbidden Forest are given a festive makeover, draped in layers of filmmaking snow, as well as the cobbled stones and magical shop fronts of Diagon Alley, Hagrid’s Hut and the Hogwarts castle model.
The opening of the Hogwarts in the Snow event coincides with the 20th anniversary of the release of the first film, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, in November 2001 and the filming of a Harry Potter Reunion. The HBO Max Return to Hogwarts special will be released on 1 January 2022 and is set reunite the original cast including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
Serving as the backdrop to some of the best scenes in the Harry Potter film series such as the Sorting of Students, the Yule Ball and the Battle of Hogwarts, the Great Hall was first built for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Sorcerer’s Stone) in 2000 and was used as a key set for six more films.
The spectacular Great Hall includes the costumes of students from each Hogwarts house plus two large tables which are set for dinner. Situated at the top of the hall is the teachers table where the Hogwarts Professors sat.
The Great Hall is home to some of the most beautiful hand crafted props created for the Harry Potter film series including Professor Dumbledore’s lectern and the House Points Counter. Though rarely seen on screen, it is rumoured that when the House Points Counter was first built it caused a national shortage of Indian glass beads.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter opened to the public on 31 March 2012 and is a walkthrough exhibition and studio tour located in Leavesden, southeast England, owned by Warner Bros. and operated by their Studio Tours division.
