I’ve always loved R. L. Burnside’s “Poor Boy a Long Way from Home“ and have been getting a lot of requests for a cover of it. R.L.’s fingerpicking style is so percussive and rhythmic, so when I adapted the tune for slide guitar, I knew I’d have to keep that solid rhythm as the foundation of the song. Hope you dig it.
