Daniel Andrews leaves a ’broken, bankrupt’ state behind him

Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says outgoing Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews leaves a “broken, bankrupt” state behind him. Mr Andrews has announced his resignation after almost nine years in the top job and 10 months into a new term. The Labor caucus will decide on who will be Mr Andrews’ successor after his resignation will take effect from 5pm Wednesday, which is likely to be Deputy Premier Jacinta Allan. “I don’t think in my lifetime I’ve seen a worse premier,” Mr Kroger told Sky News Australia. “I think many Victorians are pleased that he’s gone.”
