Continuing my series of pop artists who made a huge impression upon me but sadly have already passed away, I have four wonderful tracks from a 1982 LP called ’All Dressed Up And No Place To Go’ by the beautiful Nicolette Larson. Beginning her career as a session singer for Neil Young and Linda Ronstadt among others, Nicolette earned her breakout as a solo artist with Neil’s ’Lotta Love’ which gave her the biggest chart success she would achieve; making Top 10 in America and narrowly missing that in Australia (#11). I was completely obsessed with Nicolette Larson! I had her 4 pop albums that she issued between 1978 and 1982: ’Nicolette’. ’In The Nick Of Time’, ’Radioland’ and ’All Dressed Up And No Place To Go’. 3 years later Nicolette reinvented herself in the country genre and issued further long players: ’Say When’ (1985) and ’Rose Of My Heart’ (1986) which brought her acclaim.
