After taking off from Newfoundland.“ Croydon, London M/S as single engined monoplane is seen approaching the landing site. It passes over factory chimneys and comes into land. The camera view is taken from behind a small crowd. One man in a chef’s overall runs across the back of the waiting crowd as if he has almost missed the event. The plane, ’The Pride of Detroit’ makes a bumpy landing. Two men run along holding wing struts as it... stops. A large crowd surround the aircraft as the propeller comes to rest.
