Che Guevara: ’Face the Nation’

When Che was told he was about to be killed, he was asked by a CIA operative (Rodríguez) if he wished to send a final message. He reportedly had two: One was to Fidel Castro: “Dile a Fidel que pronto verá una revolución triunfante en América” (“Tell Fidel that there will soon be a triumphant revolution in America”) The second was to his wife, Aleida March: “Dile a mi señora que se case otra vez y que trate de ser feliz”. (“Tell my wife to remarry and try to be happy.”) Reportedly he also said to his executioner: “shoot, you’ll only kill a man.“ All content shared unaltered and in keeping with non-monetised fair use.
