Herringbone stitch with “two hole“ beads like SuperDuos, Quarter Tilas, Half Tilas and IrisDuos.
A great “seed bead“ tutorial for those who are thinking of trying seed beading for the very first time as the size of the beads are hugely generous. Perfect too for those who have mastered flat herringbone stitch with ordinary seed beads and are looking to increase their knowledge of the stitch when using double drilled beads.
In this tutorial the materials I’ve used are:
8/0 Miyuki Seed Beads - Galvanised Silver
IrisDuos - Chalk Teal Lustre
Fireline 8lb
Needle
Clasp
The amount of each of the beads you need will depend on the length of the bracelet you are making.
Towards the end of the tutorial, I also demonstrate how to add a clasp, putting the finishing touches to your design.
