Element Eighty - Slackjaw (Guitar Cover)

My cover of Element Eighty’s “Slackjaw“. My goal was to be the first to cover this song, but it turns out I am the 2nd by a few weeks, darn. The guitar work in E80 is loads of fun to learn and play and this song is no exception. One of my top 5 favorite songs by them. E80’s signature guitar lines are the octaves that go right along with the vocal melody, it makes their songs more interesting than your average nu-metal/hard rock band and adds more depth to their songs, they’re not just chugging along to chords, their music is actually really interesting and would make good instrumentals really. I think I did fairly well overall, I got a little sloppy near the end, but nothing glaring. Matt Woods is also a ’sloppy’ guitarist so there’s my excuse. :p Enjoy!!!
