📃 Оригинальное описание:
In this video you can learn 10 very easy common words in Korean.
In Korean the level of politeness in your speech is important, depending on who you are talking to. These 10 words are mostly for informal situations, for example with friends, family, or people of similar age as you.
The 10 words covered in this video are:
Hey! - written in Korean as 야 and pronounced as [ya]
You - 너 pronounced as [neo]. Note that the N at the beginning of a Korean word is often denasalized, making it sound closer to an English D. It’s similar to saying “neo“ while having a cold or pinching your nose.
Excuse me - 저기 pronounced as [jeogi], it is used to get someone’s attention
Sorry - 미안 pronounced as [mian]. Note that similar to the N, the M at the beginning of Korean words is often denasalized, making it sound closer to an English B. It’s similar to saying “mian“ while having a cold or pinching your nose.
Hi/Bye - 안녕 pronounced as [annyeong]. A common way to informally say Hi when meeting someone, but can also be said when leaving.
Thanks - 고마워 pronounced as [gomawo]
Fine/I like it - 좋아 pronounced as [joh-a], it is often used when you agree with someone’s suggestion, but can also be used to say that you like something (or someone).
I know - 알아 pronounced as [ala], note that the L sounds closer to a rolling R, though it is not exactly an English L or R, but somewhere in between.
Okay/Sure - 그래 pronounced as [geulae]
Go/Bye - 가 pronounced as [ga], often used when saying goodbye to someone. It might sound strange to simply say “Go“ to someone leaving, but in Korean this is quite normal and has no negative connotation, it can be compared to saying “Take care“ in English.
