Dozens of explosions on few square metres. This means that the enemy used the so-called blanket mining. However even such barriers are powerless against the BMR-3M Vepr mine clearing vehicle. The mine clearing vehicle is made on the basis of T-90. It has a large sweep in the front, which covers all the mines at a distance of up to 3.5 metres. The mine clearing vehicle has one other function: to prepare a mine field for dismounted engineers. They are the ones who complete scouring the area. The equipment detects the presence of metal at almost every step. An EOD specialist must make out the real threat and the mock threat.
