Crews of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system working Soldiers from the crew of the OSA anti-aircraft missile system of the Southern Group of Forces, during a combat mission to cover the positions of the group’s units in the Donetsk direction, destroy reconnaissance UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. From the first day of a special military operation, crews of the Osa air defence system provide air cover for ground forces, carrying out combat duty on the front line. Military personnel, using the radar station and missile weapons of the complex, detect and destroy small-sized enemy reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles in the air, which pose a threat to assault units and equipment of the Russian Armed Forces. The accuracy of combat use allows crews to destroy up to four enemy air targets with one round of ammunition, after which the air defense system is removed from combat duty and goes to the ammunition replenishment area for reloading. Crews of the Osa air defence system in their area of responsibility in recent weeks have destroyed more than 20 UAVs of the Furiya and Leleka type, which were conducting aerial reconnaissance of the positions of the Russian Armed Forces. Thus, the anti-aircraft gunners prevented artillery strikes, preserved the lives of personnel and the combat readiness of the units.  Join Military Wave Источник: Military Wave
