South African tribesmen demonstrate war dances for visiting dignitaries. Full title reads: “Johannesburg. ’Woop .. wow .. zung .. Zoo!’ Native Warriors greet International Rotary Delegates with ’all-in’ native war dances. (Sound filmed for first time)“ Johannesburg, South Africa. African tribesmen do war dance. They carry short spears and shields and have feathers around their wrists and ankles. The camera pans across to show the leader at the front of the group who wears a feather head dress. In the background we can see a crowd of Europeans looking on. The pan continues to show the musicians playing the accompaniment to the dance. They are playing tuned percussion instruments that look like glockenspiels. The dancers perform another dance. More dance scenes. Possibly of the first dance. Shots of some of the dancers doing high kicks as part of their dance routine. Closer shot of dance leader in leopard skin cloak and head dress to the left while dancer jumps in the air to the right.
