China builds full-scale Titanic ship replica in landlocked Sichuan as new tourist spot

Investors spent a billion yuan (US$155 million) in 2014 for the construction of the full-size replica, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. The project, which is located in a theme park, is expected to attract visitors from around the world. But it has been criticised by Chinese netizens as a waste of money.
