New information on the timeline of when Kamala Harris could select her running mate. A report from Politico says the Harris will make her selection by Tuesday, when she will hold her first joint rally with her choice for vice president in Philadelphia. A Harris campaign aide warned against “reading too much“ into the city where the rally is being held, according to Politico’s Holly Otterbein and Eugene Daniels. There have been at least seven names floated as contenders including Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, former Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
