After a well-earned rest day, the riders will be thrown right into the deep end on stage 11 with a Strade Bianche-inspired stage from Perugia to Montalcino. It may only be 162km-long with 2,300m of climbing, but with 35km of gravel roads in the latter half of the stage there’s potential for some big GC upsets. All four gravel sectors are unique and each contains a hidden pitfall that could ensnare a GC contender and dash their pink jersey dreams.
