Luxury cruise ship freed after spending three days stranded

A luxury cruise ship has finally been freed after it was stuck in the mud in Greenland for three days. The Ocean Explorer, holding more than 200 passengers including around 90 Australians, was rescued by a Greenland research trawler. The owner of the boat, Sun Stone, reported no injuries to anyone onboard after it was grounded in the Northeast Greenland National Park. Several passengers reportedly contracted COVID while the vessel was stranded. Passengers are to be flown back home while the vessel’s hull damages are assessed.
