Because salt has the same properties as fabric softener, it can soften your laundry. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to your laundry and wash it as usual. 2. with salt you can also wonderfully act against a stinking sofa. Put a tablespoon of salt together with 6 tablespoons of baking soda and a few drops of an essential oil in a bowl. Mix everything well and spread it on your sofa. Then let it sit for 1 hour and then vacuum the sofa. This way you will get moisture out of the sofa and it will smell much better afterwards. Did you know that you can also put salt in your candles and they will burn much longer? Let the wax melt a little and then add a small amount of salt.
