Tilt up body of soldier in new style military uniform and holding rifle. Tilt up again - voiceover suggests that the design is for manoeuvres and active service C/U face of soldier - he is wearing a light forage hat and his collar is open. Shot of the middle of the soldier’s body - he turns around to show his pack. A trenching tool is attached to his pack. The voiceover suggests that old timers might not like the new look but today’s soldiers would enjoy the reduction in spit and polish.
