“Germany is a captive of Russia,“ President Trump said at a breakfast hosted by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The president was in Brussels, Belgium for the start of the annual NATO summit. He made remarks critical of Germany for an energy agreement it made with Russia, and said Germany’s contribution to NATO was insufficient relative to what the U.S. paid into the 29-member military alliance.
