For my final feature of Dungeon Synth Sunday this week, I present two practitioners of richly detailed esoteric soundscapes. Martin Locker’s ambient collages of Pyrennean psychoarcheology field recordings and harmonic drones meet the unsettling martial dungeon ambient of duo, Lord Sargbert and Herrscher des Waldes. On Nebelvolk, Pyre:Numen and Glasberg collaborate on a transfixing expedition into two distinct and complementary worlds of sound. Released earlier this year on cassette the album is now available in 12” format through the same label; Moos und Efeu - dungeon synth sub label of Dominance of Darkness Records are pressed onto 140 g vinyl, available in editions of 100 black and 100 brown green swirl.
