The first news intro from Icelandic Channel 2 (Stöð Tvö), October 1986. Graphics created by Kristján Karlsson graphic designer on an ADO machine, with a grid feature. Literally, this is done by recording layers on tape, by using two VCR’s and a mixer. Guess how the Gold effect on the logo was made. Music by Jakob Frimann Magnusson. I used this intro in a school lecture in computer science on how advances in computer graphics could be seen in the development of Icelandic TV idents, and took the local Channel 2 (Stöð Tvö) as an example.
