Labor concerns Hunter gas plant ’a waste of taxpayer’s money’

Shadow Early Childhood Education Minister Amanda Rishworth has criticised the Morrison government’s plan to build a $600 million gas power station in the Hunter region for not giving the taxpayers value for their money. “I think with any of these types of projects you will want to see value for taxpayer’s money and this project from the information I’ve seen doesn’t give you value for taxpayers’ money,” she told Sky News. “My question to the government is, is this a waste of taxpayers money because certainly when it comes to the experts it is looking like the government is wasting taxpayer’s money. “Why are they doing that?
